Nazara deals with CSE to develop games based on Virat Kohli across digital, mobile platforms

NEW DELHI: Nazara Technologies has signed an exclusive deal with CSE to develop, distribute and market games around cricketer Virat Kohli across digital platforms including mobile, web and DTH for 3 years.

The games will be available across digital and mobile platforms, and will be accessible to users across the world.

The company targets at developing three to five games this year based on Virat Kohli. The games will be free of cost and revenues will be generated through advertising, sponsorships and in-app purchases.

“The game is another innovative way for me to connect with my fans and thank them for their continued support. I can’t wait to see the final product that my team creates for me.”, said Virat Kohli.

According to a report, the Indian gaming industry was estimated to be Rs. 1,920 crore in 2013 and is expected be worth Rs. 4,060 crore by 2018 – a CAGR of over 16%.

While the smartphone penetration continues to rise an increase in consumption of mobile internet and the introduction of 4G would also play a crucial role in the mobile gaming industry growing at an unprecedented rate over the next few years.
