Nazim Saleem calls a meeting to review revenue collection performance

KARACHI: Customs Enforcement-South Chief Collector Muhammad Nazim Saleem has called a meeting of all collectorates of South Region on April 27 (Monday) to review revenue collection performance.

The letters from the Chief Collector of Enforcement-South have been issued to the collectorates including MCC-Preventive, MCC Hyderabad, MCC-Gwadar and MCC-Quetta, MCC-Export and MCC Port Muhammad Bin Qasim-Exports.

Collector Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda of MCC-Preventive, Collector Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon of MCC-Hyderabad, Collector Raja Zaheer of MCC-Quetta, Collector Agha Shahid Majeed of MCC Port Muhammad Bin Qasim-Exports and others authorities concerned would attend the meeting.

Sources informed Customs Today that the performance of revenue collection would be the agenda of the meeting, adding that the Chief Collector of Enforcement-South would also review the previous revenue performance of the collectorates.

They further disclosed that the Chief Collector would also stress upon achieving the revenue target in terms of Customs Duty (CD) by the end of fiscal year 2014-15.

They said that the authorities concerned of the respective collectorates would brief the Chief Collector over the measures taken by them in order to achieve the revenue targets.

“They said meeting is seemed to be a significant one as the Chief Collector of Enforcement-South is determined to increase the revenue collection as per targets particularly by the MCC Port Muhammad Bin Qasim-Exports and MCC-Gwadar”, sources added.

To a query, the sources further disclosed that the Chief Collector-Enforcement (South) Muhammad Nazim Saleem is quite satisfied with the revenue figures and collection of MCC-Preventive, MCC-Hyderabad and MCC-Quetta.
