NBP President Syed Iqbal to inaugurate CCTV, QMS system at Customs House branch

KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan President Syed Ahmed Iqbal Ashraf will inaugurate the launching ceremony of CCTV and Queue Management System which is underway as per schedule at the Customs House branch of the Bank presently, Assistant Vice President and Manager Saifullah Bhutto told Customs Today.

The installation work that started on the 8th of the last month is progressing as scheduled and is expected to finish by end January or early February 2015. The first phase of the three-phase work is underway. The work to install of CCTV within the bank premises is still underway while the A part of the construction work; including the construction of 14 counters, has already while the works to remove old kiosks and booths within the premises is underway.

In the initial phase 8 CCTV cameras would be installed inside the premises of the branch while another 7, including one CCTV camera at each of the two entrances would be installed later.

NBP’s President Muhammad Ahmed Iqbal Ashraf had visited Branch, the busiest of all NBP branches authorize to collect Customs-related revenue, last month.

The installation of CCTV and the QMS has been initiated on the advice of Collector Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-East Najeeb R. Abbasi who has whole-heartedly supported the transformation of the Branch aimed at better facilitating the taxpayers.
