KARACHI: National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has reported that the cumulative outflow of foreign investors’ portfolio investment (FIPI) was recorded at $198.666 million in the first four month of current calendar year.
During the year 2016, the foreign investors had withdrawn $361.101 million from the Pakistan capital market. However, despite foreign selling, Pakistan Stock Exchange remained bullish and the benchmark KSE-100 index has touched the historic mark of 50,000 points during this period. Pakistan Stock Exchange is considered one of the best performing markets in the world. The local investors and institutions remained net buyers of shares and absorbed all losses occurred due to foreign selling.
