KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the prices of petroleum products on Tuesday, informed NOC spokesperson Deepak Baral.
The national oil monopoly decided to cut Rs 2 per litre in petrol, diesel and kerosene with effect from Tuesday mid-night. The NOC has also slashed the price of LPG cooking gas by Rs 35.
As per the new revised rate, petrol will now cost Rs 104 per litre, and diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 82 per litre. Likewise, cooking gas will now cost Rs 1400 per cylinder.
Baral said the priced has been adjusted as per the price list forwarded by the Indian Oil Corporation today. He said that despite the cuts in petroleum prices the NOC is still gaining profit of Rs 870 million in 15 days.
