RASUWA: The Timure Customs Office has been able to collect the annual target of revenue collection within 40 days.
The Office collected Rs 396.3 million revenue against this year’s target of Rs 396 million.
The Office achieved the success after Nepali businessperson started importing Chinese goods from Kyirong, the northern checkpoint bordering with China.
The Office collected Rs 396.3 million revenue till Tuesday. According to the Office Chief, Kedar Paneru, clothes, apples, motor spares, electronic appliances, readymade clothes, footwear, raw wool, garlic, among others were imported to Nepal via the checkpoint during the period.
The border checkpoint, obstructed due to the April 25 earthquake, was brought into use from October 16.
