New cabinet of Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) sworn in today

SIALKOT: The new cabinet of Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL), sworn in during a prestigious ceremony held here today.

SIAL’s New Chairman Malik Muhammad Ashraf and Vice Chairman Naeem Yousaf today assumed the charge of their offices as well.

Addressing the participants, Chairman Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Malik Muhammad Ashraf said that the mega project of Sialkot International Airport, established by the trendy Sialkot exporters on self help basis, would prove a milestone towards the stability of the national economy.  There was no doubt to say that Sialkot international airport project has now become a success story.

He revealed that Sialkot airport could be a very successful foreign destination for any airline, saying the Sialkot exporters have written a unique golden history of self help by completing this mega project, advising others to replicate it. He said that the industrialists and exporters of Sialkot had set a unique precedent for others in the country to follow by successfully launching a mega project on self-help basis.

Chairman SIAL Malik Muhammad Ashraf narrated that the mega Sialkot airport project, would open new vistas of economic development in the country and bring a boom in the industrial sector. He said that it would also help in doubling the annual export from Sialkot from existing exports US $ 2 billion, thus catering to the need of the Pakistan’s first ever Golden Export Triangle comprising Sialkot, Gujrat and  Gujranwala districts.

He told that the Sialkot international airport has also ensured the easy access of Sialkot exporters to the international business routs , foreign destinations and international trade markets besides, leaving very positive, health and pleasant impacts on regional economical growth and human development in Pakistan’s first ever “Gold Export Triangle” comprising Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat districts here.

The participants were further told that the Level-2 phase of construction of Sialkot international airport would also be completed in January 2016 for facilitating the passengers by providing them the advanced and international standard aviation facilities here and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawa Sharif will inaugurate it.

The early completion of Shehbazpur Bridge over River Chenab would also reduce the distance between Gujrat to Sialkot international airport only to ten minutes drive, besides, connecting this airport to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as well.

SIAL’s Chairman Malik Muhammad Ashraf added that the project of Sialkot international airport is moving ahead successfully towards the goal success and excellence besides striving to open the new vistas of socio-economic and human development here.

He said that SIAL management would also establish an international standard Exhibition Hall/ Display Center at Sialkot International Airport for facilitating the Sialkot exporters, enabling them to hold the international exhibitions of their export products to lure the foreigners there.

SIAL’s Vice Chairman Naeem Yousaf revealed that the dream of Sialkot business community has now become true in shape of Sialkot international airport.

He said that the Sialkot international airport has been established by trendy Sialkot exporters on self help basis under the Build, Operate and Own (BOO) Policy.
