ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has banned the opening of new filling stations on national highways and motorways.
According to the NHA, the authority is chalking out a new policy for giving NOCs to parties that want to install petrol pumps and CNG stations and on the highways.
According to official documents, the National Highway Authority has directed its regional offices across the country not to give NOCs for installation of new petrol pumps and CNG stations on national highways and motorways to be part of the CPEC. The petroleum ministry and Ogra have expressed their concerns over the ban.
