LAHORE: Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) Chairman Mian Noman Kabir along with Senior Vice Chairman PIAF Senior Vice President Lahore Chamber and PIAF Vice Chairman Javed Iqbal Siddiqui while issuing a statement said that E-commerce company Amazon is welcome to add Pakistan to its sellers list, it is a big step for our e-commerce and it will create vast opportunities for the youth and the new generation of entrepreneurs especially women SMEs.
Despite being one of the largest manufacturing economies in the region, South Asia was not included in the list of 102 countries on Amazon’s platform as Pakistan ranks 116th in the e-commerce index of 152 countries.
PIAF officials Noman Kabir, Nasir Hameed And Javed Siddiqui said that the inclusion of Amazon in the list is an important milestone for the government.
Due to the ongoing Kovid 19 epidemic around the world, the general consumer is now moving towards e-commerce It is important to ensure the safety of the Competition Commission in this regard.
By becoming an e-commerce policy guideline, it will build consumer confidence in the market and prevent any potential fraudulent advertising and anti-commission activities in the e-commerce market.
