New housing schemes for federal govt employees soon

ISLAMABAD: Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) is going to launch new housing schemes as it has acquired land in the federal capital.

According to foundation’s spokesperson Ayesha Shah, the work on at least three schemes has already been completed. The Prime Minister has approved opening of new Sectors F-14 and F-15 Islamabad to cater to residential need of the federal government employees and other specified groups, last week.

“While a scheme in Bhara Kahu is near completion and land for Park Road scheme is already acquired, another scheme was planned in surrounding of the new airport,” she added.

Sources in the ministry of housing said that plans for few other housing schemes are under-consideration that would be finalised soon. “The ministry is well aware of the pressure and lack of residency in the federal capital,” an official said on condition of anonymity.

Ayesha Shah said that the new DG of foundation and the Minister for Housing are aware of the new trends and they are taking keen interest to develop as much housing schemes in Islamabad as possible.
