ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Thursday rejected the by the Oil and Gas Development Authority’s (Ogra) summary regarding increase in petrol prices.
Addressing a gathering at the launch of the Prime Minister’s National Health Programme, Nawaz Sharif announced no increase in the price of petrol for the month of January, however said the government would slash price for Diesel and Kerosene Oil.
“Even no increase in the price of the petrol is a relief for the people,” the premier said. He said the finance minister will announce the details later.
The government announces changes in prices of petroleum products every month, keeping in view the fluctuations in the international prices.
