LONDON: Nexus 6 will soon make its way onto Verizon’s shelves. Many folks would be shocked to see Verizon release a branded version of the Nexus 6.
An image sent to Phandroid from a “trusted source” claims to show the Verizon version of the Nexus 6, and yes, it’s got a Verizon logo on its backside. The branding is on the bottom of the phone beneath the Nexus logo, similar to the Nexus 6 that’s sold by AT&T.
While still unconfirmed, I don’t think many folks would be shocked to see Verizon release a branded version of the Nexus 6. Not only is Verizon known for plastering its logo all over its hardware, but AT&T has already placed its tattoo on the Nexus 6, and so I’m sure that Verizon wouldn’t want to AT&T be the only one with a branded N6.
Exactly what else Verizon plans to do to its Nexus 6 is a mystery for now. However, AT&T crammed a SIM lock, tethering check, and some ringtones into its N6, and so it’s likely that Verizon will slip some software into its version of the device.
