KATHMANDU: The Nepal Food Corporation (NFC) is planning to import around 3,000 goats to meet the demand of meat in Kathmandu Valley for the Dashain festival in October this year.
The NFC has allocated Rs 40.67 million to import the animals which will arrive in Kathmandu on September 29, two days before Ghatasthapana, the first day of 10-day-long Dashain festival, according to Pawan Kumar Karki, information officer at the NFC.
