NHA spends Rs. 2.39b on improvement of Nowshera-Chitral Highway

ISLAMABAD: An amount of Rs. 2393 Million has been incurred on improvement of 78.2 Km of Nowshera-Chitral Highway (N-45) during previous fiscal year.

The amount has been spent under PC-1 of Improvement and Widening of N-45 except Takht Bhai Flyover,an official of National Highway Authority (NHA) told APP Monday.

He said that about 30 percent progress has been achieved on Takht Bhai Flyover.

The minister said that under PSDP in 2014-15 Rs 500 million were allocated and released for the improvement of 78.2 KM Nowshera-Dir-Chitral Road (N-45) out of which 220 million have been utilized.

He said that an amount of Rs. 826.48 million has been committed during fiscal year 2014-15 for maintenance works of N-45.

Giving details of the maintenance categories he said that for routine maintenance of N-45 Rs 143,091,737 were utilized during previous fiscal year, in periodic maintenance Rs 397,241,791 were utilized, in rehabilitation Rs 183,827,410 were used while in special maintenance Rs 102,316,818 were utilized.

He said that Rs. 200 million have been allocated for construction of Takht Bhai project for the fiscal year 2015-16.
