NH&MP unveils state-of-the-art driving test track

ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has unveiled first testing track of international standard.

NH&MP Inspector General Muhammad Saleem Bhatti inaugurated the track near Sangjani, Islamabad. All practical tests would be conducted before issuance of high transport vehicles (HTV) and public service vehicles (PSV) driving licenses at the track. The practical tests of public transport drivers would also be conducted at this facility.

A simple and graceful inaugural ceremony was held in which representatives from all Pakistan Transport Associations, Dumper Association and other heavy transport organisations participated. The representatives of transport associations admitted that most of the heavy transport drivers possess bogus licenses and appreciated that such facility, where licenses of international standards would be issued, is a great service to the nation.

Saleem Bhatti said that self-assessment can also be done through the information at the website which would help in getting driving license. He further informed the participants that such tracks would also be constructed in other major cities.
