Babani assured that the Customs Service would remain committed to ensuring that importers who engage in illegal goods do not have their way.

He said the importer of the consignment used fake address to bring in the frozen foods before it was uncovered.

He went further to promise that his team will ensure that they guard the contaminated frozen food till it is decomposed to avoid the people from releasing it to the market.

Babani said, ”The message I have to pass to the public is that Nigeria Custom Service will not allow all those who do illegal importation to have their way,

” I believe that the good people own Nigeria a duty of complying to law and order which will help us all to develop the nation, I believe that enough is enough this time.”
