TOKYO: Revogamers report that Nintendo and Disney are currently in talks to allow Mario to appear to star in their films, games and merchandising.

This would continue to see them build on their third-party relations, which has already seen Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser appear in Skylanders SuperChargers as well as the Mushroom Kingdom villain starring in Wreck-It Ralph.

Amiibo haven’t similarly appeared in Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, as a deal hasn’t yet been signed. Disney is apparently hoping that Mario could not only appear in Wreck-It Ralph 2, but in a crossover game that would start the portly Italian plumber alongside their own iconic creation, Mickey Mouse.

As Nintendo have reminded us over the years, they are often in discussion with numerous companies about potential concepts and ideas. This is no different, and could either be untrue or never come to fruition. But, Revogamers correctly unearthed the Skylanders collaboration several months ago, as well as unannounced amiibo waves.
