WASHINGTON: The New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) has said its proactive business promotion drive by conducting business meets at various locations of the hinterland has yielded positive results.

An official release here said that the port had a series of business meets at Chikkamagaluru and Mudigere where many coffee curing and trading firms are located. The recent meet conducted on July 28 and 29 with Mudremane Coffee Curers, Vidya Coffee and Belur Coffee Curing & Trading Co. has contributed the movement of more coffee for export through the port.
