No date extension for officials to submit returns: FBR

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue has announced that there will be no extension in the last date for filing returns by FBR officials.

According to sources in FBR, officers and staff of the Board were warned to submit their returns and details of their assets by June 16. It was clarified that special allowance of the officials who fail to submit the documents will be discontinued for at least three months.

Sources said that those FBR officials who had not submitted the documents earlier did so after the last warning. FBR Chairman has already presented report to the Finance Minister in this regard. While showing his contentment, the finance minister has directed that the process of submitting returns timely should be ensured.
