KARACHI: There is no increase in the pension of retired employees of the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department. Sources said that the government announced an enhancement in pensions of retired employees, but no practical step have been taken in this regard.
Sources said that retired employees of the Excise Department are very much upset due to this situation. The Sindh government still has not issued a notification regarding 10 percent increase in the pension of the retired employees.
Assistant secretary of Excise department Mohammad Furqan told Customs Today that “we are happy that our salary have been increased but on the other hand we are upset that our retired colleagues are not getting any enhancement in their pensions.”
