No instructions to suspend audit for 30 days, FBR clarifies

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Thursday clarified that the board has not given any statement regarding suspension of audit of taxpayers for the period of 30 days.

According to press statement issued here, the board refuted the news item published in a section of the press claiming that the FBR has decided to suspend the audit of taxpayers for 30 days.

the FBR has clarified that the Chairman FBR has not given any such statement regarding suspension of audit cases for the period of 30 days during his visit to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) as reported, the statement added. All news reports to this effect are untrue and baseless, the statement added.
