DUBAI: United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy said that no UAE citizen was arrested at Kuala Lumpur International Airport of Malaysia for organic drug smuggling.
This was confirmed by Wisma Putra after the embassy sought details of a detention involving its citizen at the KL International Airport, an embassy spokesman told.
Custom officer as saying they had detected a big-scale smuggling organic drugs in a form of leaves called ‘khat’, which is used by chewing by people in the Middle East.
Police had said the detection was made possible following the arrest of four men — one Yemen and one UAE nationals and two locals at the airport.
