PYONGYANG: North Korea provincial council will recruit 2,000 graduates to be employed as teachers from this year to overcome the existing shortage of school teachers in remote government schools .North Western Province Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara said so addressing an NWPC monthly meeting recently.
Students of remote schools are reported to undergo inconveniences due to the lack of teachers to teach compulsory subjects.
Action has been taken by the Chief Minister in this regard by obtaining approval from the Treasury to recruit 2,000 graduates early this year for the benefit of students.
Meanwhile, addressing a meeting of parents and teachers of Dhamma schools in the Kurunegala District recently, Jayasekara said Dhamma education is vital for all students in the country.
