HAVANA: Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and State Secretary Laila Bokhari of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the wish of both nations to continue strengthening their relations.

During the meeting, held in a cordial setting, both officials debated on the positive state of two-way ties, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported.

Later Laila Bokhari, who is making an official visit to this Caribbean nation, met with Rogelio Sierra, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, in the context of inter-chancelleries political consultation session.

On that occasion both officials discussed on the main issues relating to the bilateral agenda including the prospects for the progress of political ties and for the areas of trade, investment and cooperation.

The Norwegian State Secretary Laila Bokhari was accompanied by Ingrid Mollestad, ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Cuba, as well as Haakon Gram-Johannessen and Dag Nagoda, deputy director and senior adviser to the Latin American Section of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, respectively.

On the Cuban side were Elio Rodríguez, director of Europe and Canada Department, and other officials of the Foreign Ministry.
