Not for consumers using less than 50 units: Nepra cuts power tariff by Rs4.42

ISLAMABAD: The National Power Regulatory Authority on Thursday further reduced power tariff by Rs4.42 per under the monthly fuel adjustment plan.

According to media reports the power distribution companies (Discos) saved over Rs25 billion during the month of February. In February, 33% electricity was generated through furnace-oil based plants, 34% hydel power plants and 29% electricity was generated from gas-based plants. The tariff cut will not apply to K-Electric and lifeline consumers using less than 50 units per month.
