NEW YORK: Viber one of the top rated apps of all times on the android play store provides its latest update for free download. In fact the free calling of viber is limited to the extent of users being allowed to make only viber to viber free calls.

It has gathered immense popularity over time and has become a mainstream application. Viber has been providing the users with a facility which everyone wants. It helps economic control by allowing users to make free calls, and helps in people keeping in touch.

Communication has been made much simpler a process with the help of viber. However there is one catch with viber, so is the case with almost every other VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service provider. They do offer free calling, but with a twist.

Viber, that is a direct competitor to Skype – comes with an option via which people can make calls from app to actual phones too.

This service is similar to Skype’s Skype Out service – and has been named ‘Viber Out’ using which your calling goes beyond viber to viber and can now be viber to landline or viber to mobile phone. The latest update from viber has been critical in improvement of the viber out technology.

However Viber promotes itself as a ‘free calling’ option, which is often disputable as we cannot fully agree on the statement that viber is indeed a free calling application.

Viber is free, but it comes with an asterisk to it. The free calling of viber is limited to the extent of users being allowed to make only viber to viber free calls.

Any calls that are made from viber to a mobile or a landline phone will be chargeable. Hence, think again – is viber actually free or are we just falling victims to marketing tactics?
