Nowshera ASO impounds seven offending vehicles & other goods valued Rs8.349m

NOWSHERA: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Nowshera Mobile Squad impounded seven offending vehicles (vehicles used for carrying smuggled goods) along with various kinds of smuggled goods worth Rs8.349million during the 1st to 10th of July Financial Year 2017-18.

According to details given by sources of Nowshera that the performance of the ASO has been satisfactory during above said period. During said period, the ASO confiscated offending vehicles including Cultus car, Chinqchi, two Corolla cars, one Rickshaw, one Alto car and one other motorcar. The value of the impounded offending vehicles was estimated Rs4.850million.
The sources told CT that during above said period, the ASO confiscated 204 kilogram of black tea and 13,253 yards of foreign origin cloths during different seizures. The ASO Nowshera’s seized said smuggled goods carry value of Rs3.499million.
The sources further told CT that there are four mobile squads working under the jurisdiction of Model Customs Collectorate of Peshawar for 24/7.
