NUML organizes National Business Competition to end country’s financial sufferings

ISLAMABAD: A two-day National Business Plan Competition organized by Business Incubation Centre of National University of Modern Languages (BICON) kicked off here on Tuesday with an aim to help the country to end its financial sufferings.

Executive Director Higher Education Commission Prof Dr Arshad Ali was the chief guest of the inaugural session, while Rector of NUML Major General Zia Uddin Najam (retd), Direct General of NUML Muhammad Ibrahim, registrar, deans, directors, jury members from public and private sectors and students from various universities across the country participated in the competition.

Speaking on the occasion Executive Director of HEC Dr Arshid said NUML must be appreciated for its vision and positive steps for the promotion of business to generate employment opportunities rather than finding jobs.

He said the HEC in collaboration with different ministries working on different projects and universities were welcome to participate in such programmes.

He further said ministry of environment and the HEC working on a project to avoid smog and NUML students were welcomed if they had any plan or project to eliminate this.

The ED of HEC said the HEC would cooperate with the universities with maximum level in ant workable project.

He appreciated NUML and hoped that other varsities would also follow NUML footprints.

Rector of NUML in his address stressed on the moral values in business and urged the students that they should remain honest in their businesses.

He said business incubation centers in the academia would help the country to end its financial sufferings.

It is important to mention that 360 ideas were received from all over Pakistan and 54 were selected for competition. The each workable idea will be given financial support by the partners.
