KUALA LUMPUR: United Kingdom-based integrated facilities management provider, Outsourced Client Solutions (OCS) Group, is confident of achieving RM100 million in revenue in Malaysia this year compared with RM70 million last year.
Managing Director of Malaysia and Singapore, Sheldon Wee, said the major revenue contribution would come from its wholly-owned unit, Cannon Hygiene Malaysia, that provided premium washroom hygiene services.
“It is a different product altogether, and we believe it can elevate our revenue to a much higher level,” he told a press conference after the launch of the company’s new washroom range, Imagine, here today.
Wee said the group had invested RM15 million in Malaysia to ensure its local business continued to grow.
“This (RM15 million) is just the start of our investment and we are confident that the amount would increase year by year,” he said.
Currently, Cannon Hygiene Malaysia, which was established in 2014, has three branches in Selangor, Penang and Johor.
The company planned to expand its network to 14 branches nationwide, including in Sabah and Sarawak, in five years’ time, he said.
OCS was also expected to increase its workforce in Malaysia to 300 within the next three to five years from the current 50 employees, he added.
Wee also expressed confidence that the company would take the number one spot in terms of market share within five years, up from the 11th place in 2014.
Meanwhile, OCS Group Chief Executive Officer of South, Southeast Asia and Middle East, Heather Suksem, said the company viewed the Asia Pacific region, especially Southeast Asia as its next growth area.
There was a great opportunity for improvement in hygienic and washroom services, she said, adding that Malaysia was among the major contributors for the group’s business due to a strong management team and client base here.
Apart from Malaysia, the company has tapped into 40 countries worldwide including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore.
