October 31 is last date for filing income tax returns

ISLAMABAD: Only one-day left for filing income tax returns for fiscal year 2024 which already approaching fast.

Prior to this Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) extended last date of filing income tax returns for fiscal year 2024 twice due to slow and unavailability of internet, technical faults in IRIS Portal and on appeals from tax bar associations.

Now the final date for filing income tax returns for fiscal year 2024 is October 31, 2024.

Regional Tax Office established awareness camps for taxpayers under the supervision of Chief Commissioner Ahmad Shuja Khan.

These tax awareness camps will also be established in various big markets of Lahore. Staff from Inland Revenue will be available to provide any guidance to taxpayers.

Chief Coordinator of Tajir Dost Scheme Naeem Mir has said that after expiry of deadline FBR will take stern measures against non-filers and no further extension will be granted to taxpayers.

FBR considering to abolish category of non-filers so businessmen involved in tax evasion will face severe difficulties in businesses.
