KARACHI: The officials of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) of Appraisement (East) are still awaiting their due “sanctioned” reward of the previous year.
Sources informed Customs Today that the reward for the year-2014 was announced by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for the officials of the Collectorate who performed well and the then Collector Abdul Rasheed Shaikh had sanctioned the reward.
“The non-release of the sanctioned reward to the officials particularly puts a pessimistic impact on the performance of the officials of the Collectorate. The officials of the MCC-Appraisement (East) are deprived of their two-year reward money due to non-active approach of the authorities of the Collectorate”, sources added.
“The authorities concerned of the Collectorate do not prefer to distribute this amount among the hardworking and deserving officials of the Collectorate”, they claimed.
The officials demanded of high authorities of FBR to take effective measures in order to release the “sanctioned” reward money for the officials so that they can work with more enthusiasm and passion.
