ISLAMABAD: The people having offshore companies can also avail benefits from the Tax Amnesty Scheme, which will not be used for any prosecution purpose, it is learnt here.
Federal Board of Revenue sources told Customs Today that those people whose named are mentioned in Panama Papers having ownership of offshore companies can also avail benefit from the amnesty scheme and will have to declare assets and income, while government will not ask the source of income in this regard and they will get regularized.
Sources told that the government employees, public office-holders and having cases in court regarding the income cannot get benefit from the scheme.
It is important to mention here that the basic aim of this amnesty scheme is to facilitate the people to declare its assets.
