ISLAMABAD: Federal Tax Ombudsman Abdur Rauf said that all arrangement had been finalized for the two-day 27 OIC member countries’ ombudsmen conference being started here on Monday (today).
He said that the conference was being held under the auspices of the forum of Federal Tax Ombudsman with the theme ‘Networking of Ombudsmen Offices in OIC member States.’
The Ombudsmen from 27 Islamic countries will share their experiences at the conference for strengthening the working of the ombudsmen offices, he said. The FTO said that the conference would provide an excellent opportunity to all ombudsmen to share their experiences in the relevant fields.
He said that a total of 27 Islamic countries’ ombudsmen were invited along with members of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) of which 24 ombudsmen had confirmed their participation. Abdur Rauf Ch informed that Pakistan had a total of 12 ombudsmen, 7 federal while five were provincial who would also attend the conference. All these ombudsmen have played their due role in arranging the international conference.
