MUSCAT: The Directorate-General of Customs at the Royal Oman Police recently foiled attempts to smuggle oil derivatives, fake cigarettes and fireworks across border outlets.
An official source at the ROP said that the Directorate-General of Customs imposes tight control on all official outlets to foil any attempt to smuggle banned substances and will prosecute anybody engaged in smuggling and take legal action against them. The Directorate General of Customs also appealed to parents to control their children and advise them of the dangers of buying and using fireworks.
