MUSCAT: H E Abdullah al Salmi, executive president of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), signed a contract at the annual meeting of the International Organisation for Securities Commissions (Iosco) in London, UK, on June 16, to engage the Taipei Exchange (also known as Gre Tai) as expert consultants.
The contract covers consultancy assistance to be provided by the Taipei Exchange to assist in the design and development of capital market products and services in Oman aimed at supporting the growth of SMEs, a CMA press release said on Wednesday.
The signing was attended by CMA chairman H E Yahya al Jabri, and leading members of the Taiwanese financial-services sector.
The CMA undertook a review of many SME markets and SME consultants before selecting Taipei Exchange as its expert consultant advisor.
