Oman’s Central Bank receives ISO 2008:9001 certification

MUSCAT: Central Bank of Oman (CBO) has received ISO 2008:9001 certification by Country Manager, Bureau Veritas (BV). Executive President of CBO, Hamood Sangour Al Zadjali, received this Certification.

Thus, the CBO becomes the first among GCC central banks to obtain ISO 9001:2008 Certification after auditing made by the concerned company of the CBO Currency Department against the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 standard Oman’s Central Bank receives ISO 2008:9001 certification by Bureau Veritas.

Over the years, the CBO has established internationally recognised systems and processes that are consistent with international quality standards in many CBO departments that provide high quality services to the bank’s stakeholders.

Obtaining the ISO 9001:2008 Certification is a step in the right direction within the strategy to provide the best quality services to all the CBO’s stakeholders.

Obtaining the ISO 9001:2008 comes due to the CBO’s persistent quest to improve the quality of the banking services in the Omani banking sector. This year, the CBO is completing 40 Years of continuous work in the field of regulating the banking services since its establishment in 1975.
