MUSCAT: Oman’s MSM30 Index down by 0.17 percent to closed at 6,231.95 points. Oman’s MSM Sharia Index closed at 953.08 points, up by 0.09 percent.
Construction Materials was the most active in terms of volume while Al Fajar Al Alamia was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 1,020 trades were executed during the day’s trading session generating turnover of OMR7.44 million with more than 23.2 million shares changing hands. Out of 53 traded securities, 10 advanced, 19 declined and 24 remained unchanged. At the session close, Omani Investors were net buyers for OMR1.61 million while Foreign Investors were net sellers for OMR1.32 million followed by GCC & Arab Investors for OMR290,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed at 7,677.00 points, down by 0.59 percent. Takaful Oman, Al Madina Takaful, Bank Dhofar and Global Financial Investment increased by 5.21 percent, 1.14 percent, 1.08 percent and 0.84 percent respectively.
Industrial Index declined 0.36 percent to end the day at 8,225.52 points. Gulf International Chemicals and Al Anwar Ceramics increased 1.25 percent and 0.53 percent respectively.
Services Sector Index closed at 3,439.45 points, up by 0.06 percent. Majan College, Sembcorp Salalah, Ooredoo and Sharqiyah Desalination increased 10.00 percent, 1.28 percent, 1.13 percent and 0.15 percent respectively.
