KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue has asked Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to collect 17.5 percent withholding tax from petrol pump operators being non-filers of income tax return.
According to Withholding Tax Card 2017/2018 issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), every person selling petroleum product to non-filer petrol pump operator shall deduct 17.5 percent at the time of payment on account of sale of petroleum products. However, the withholding tax rate in case of filer petrol pump operators.
