One arrested on charges of Rs74m embezzlement

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Tuesday arrested accused Malik Javaid Akhtar for his alleged involvement in embezzlement of Rs 74 million.  The accused, nominated in a case, embezzled Rs 74 millions in connivance with management of Medical Cooperative Society, Islamabad.

He was arrested after rejection of his bail by Special Judge Central Islamabad. He would be produced before court on Wednesday for want of physical remand. Former President Khalid Javaid is already on judicial remand.
