FAISALABAD: Only one nomination paper was received for the vacant office of vice president Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI).
The seat was declared vacant after the resignation of Rana Fiaz Ahmad. The FCCI Election Commission comprising Mian Aftab Ahmad, Shahid Ahmad Sheikh and Ch. Muhammad Boota scrutinized the nomination paper and declared it valid. The nomination paper was field by Executive Committee member Usman Rauf.
According to the Election Commission, as per schedule the nomination paper could be withdrawn on November 11 (today) and the final list of contesting candidate will be displayed on the same day.
As only one nomination paper has been received for vacant post of vice president, hence there will be no polling on November 13.
However,the official result will be announced during extra-ordinary general meeting of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on November 28.
