KARACHI: As clashes between police and protesters belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek of Dr Tahirul Qadri continued in Islamabad, the KSE 100-index once against took a negative start, shedding 291.35 points to 28,276.39 in early trading on Monday.
The deadly confrontation shows little signs of letting up, as both Khan and Qadri have encouraged their supporters to battle on and police also resorted to teargas shells to stop the protesters advancement toward the Prime Minister’s House. At least three people have been killed and hundreds of others are injured in the clashes.
