LONDON: Oppo has been diversifying its R7 range of smartphones. There is a new entrant among the original R7 and the R7 Plus is the R7s.
The Oppo R7s has recently cropped up in TENAA certification which confirmed many of its specifications. A 5.5 inch 1080p AMOLED display will be part of the R7s body. The screen size will create a much needed gap between the 5 inch R7 model and the 6 inch R7 Plus smartphone.
The chipset isn’t mentioned in the certification. Though, an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset at 1.5GHz can be expected on the device along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. For photography enthusiasts, there will be a 13MP primary camera as well as an 8MP secondary camera. The phone will be running on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. The might have a mammoth batter like the 4,100mAh one in the R7 Plus. The dimensions of the phone are mentioned as 151.8 x 75.4 x 6.7mm with about a 200g weight.
An official announcement is yet to be made by Oppo so the specs are still subject to change last minute.
