Over 5,138 farmers registered for Kissan package

SARGODHA: Over 5138 farmers have registered themselves for Kissan package in the district while E-pass books have been issued to 67 farmers so far.

According to Additional District Collector (ADC) Muhammad Zulqarnain, directions have also been given to relevant departments for speeding up the registration process to ensure Kissan package distribution to farmers as soon as possible.

Briefing about the Land Record Management & Information System (LRMIS), the ADC said that computerization process of 763 out of 849 villages in the district have been completed and notifications were also issued. Almost 632 ‘Khewat’ issues were resolved and 182 mutations traced since September.

The ADC said that departments have been asked to work with active coordination for providing Kissan package to farmers on priority.
