LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Pakistan Customs have recovered over two kilogram of heroin from an accused who was travelling from Lahore to UK.
According to a source of Customs Today on Wednesday, a team of Pakistan Customs booked an accused named Okeke chidiebre who was smuggling heroin to the United Kingdom. The heroin was hidden in his trolley in a very technical way.
The worth of the recovered heroin is over Rs30million in the international market. The customs team handed him over to Anti-Narcotics Force for further investigation.
Later, the ANF extracted more heroin from his stomach. The ANF has arrested the accused, Okeke chidibere, a resident of Nigeria, and shifted him to unknown place for further investigation and prosecution.
Over one dozen capsules filled with heroin were recovered from his stomach. During an initial investigation, the accused has revealed that heroin was purchased from Gawalmandi.
The ANF had also aborted an attempt of smuggling of six kilogram heroin to Saudi Arabia on Monday and arrested a couple from a flight bound for Jeddah.
