Overseas Pakistanis laud NAB Chairman Justice Javed Iqbal for eradicating corruption

ISLAMABAD: Dr. Khurshid A Babar, Global Peace, Canada has appreciated and paid salute of Overseas Pakistanis to Honorable Mr. Justice, Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB and said that Honorable Mr. Justice, Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB has become an historical personality and future example for coming generations due to his excellent work in eradication of corruption as Chairman NAB will be definitely in brilliant book of God as he has caught hold of big fishes as per law who brought wrath of God for whole humanity.

It is important to note here that reputed national and international organizations like Transparency International Pakistan, World Economic Forum, PILDAT, Mishal Pakistan and as per survey of Gillani and Gallop, 59 percent people have shown trust upon NAB.

NAB under the dynamic leadership of Honorable Mr. Justice, Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB has rejuvenated in order to come up to the expectations of nation for corruption free Pakistan. As far as, excellent performance of NAB is concerned, NAB has chalked out an effective national anti-corruption strategy in order to nab corrupt elements and recover looted money from them and deposit in national exchequer. NAB under the dynamic leadership of Honorable Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman NAB during the last about 28 months, recovered about Rs. 178 billion directly and indirectly and deposited in the national exchequer which is remarkable achievement. It is honour for Pakistan that NAB is the focal organization of Pakistan under United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). The Convention was ratified by the Government of Pakistan. Pakistan is the only country which has signed an MOU with China through NAB to oversee ongoing projects under CPEC. That due to the efforts of NAB, Pakistan had become the first head of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation’s (SAARC) Anti-Corruption Forum.

NAB has introduced Combined Investigation Team (CIT) system in order to benefit from collective wisdom which is lending quality. NAB has established its own Forensic Science Laboratory in order to have forensic analysis of finger prints, documents reading, digital forensic etc to save time and to ensure secrecy as well as to improve the quality of investigation. NAB has established its own Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy to provide state of the art training facilities to its investigation officers and prosecutors on modern lines. NAB’s prosecution division is vigorously pursuing the corruption cases in the respected courts as per law and our overall conviction ratio at the respected Accountability Courts in about 70 percent. NAB is a people friendly institution which always ensures protecting self-esteem of all persons visiting NAB offices.
