Owner of Nishat Group of Schools & Colleges declare Rs1.25b assets under Tax Amnesty Scheme

MULTAN: A private school owner declared Rs1.25 billion assets under Tax Amnesty Scheme in the Regional Tax Office Multan.

The Federal Board of Revenue has launched tax amnesty scheme in the country for non-filers to legalize their black money by declaring their actual assets.

A reform in tax culture was necessary to enhance tax base of the country and Federal Board of Revenue also spread awareness in the business community about Tax Amnesty Scheme after its launching.

The Federal Board of Revenue displayed banners in the main markets to inform business community and others to bring them in the tax net. The Regional Tax Office also organized seminars for the public awareness about tax amnesty scheme.

The Regional Tax Office collected Rs25 million taxes from an individual who is operating an educational network with the name Nishat Group of Schools and Colleges in the Multan. More than 6000 students are getting education from Nishat Schools and Colleges and there are more than 8 branches established in the Multan City which are facilitating students in the education sector.

Alamgir Khan has declared almost assets of Rs1.25 billion under tax Amnesty Scheme in the Regional Tax Office and it is the highest amount declared by any non-filer after launching of Tax Amnesty Scheme in the countrywide.

Tax authorities of Multan are expecting more collection in the coming days from Tax Amnesty Scheme in the jurisdiction.
