QUEZON: A suspected drug pusher was arrested while two plastic bags containing more or less two kilos of shabu valued at P10 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City yesterday.

Chief Insp. Enrico E. Figueroa, chief of the Quezon City Police District-District Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Group, initially identified the arrested person as “Ricky.”

Figueroa said the suspect was arrested after selling 100 grams of shabu worth P200,000 from a police poseur-buyer on Tandang Sora Ave.

Seized from the suspect’s car were two plastic bags containing two kilos of suspected shabu valued at an estimated P10 million.

The suspect who had been under police surveillance was taken to the QCPD-DAID-SOTG detention facility.

A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

Figueroa said the arrest of the suspect was the result of an earlier operation they conducted on C.P. Garcia Ave., Barangay UP Campus, Quezon City, on May 12, in which two suspected Chinese drug pushers were arrested and one kilo of shabu worth an estimated P5 million was seized.
