In this regard, the MCC-Preventive and MCC-Appraisement (West) have started their working to settle down the audit paras sent by the CRRA for last 25years.

The Customs authorities informed Customs Today that most of the audit paras are linked with the two Collectorates i.e. MCC-Appraisement (West) and MCC-Preventive, as those collectorates are existed in the year 1990 and later while the other Collectorates including MCC-Appraisement Port Muhammad Bin Qasim and MCC-Appraisement (East) were not established in that period of time.

It is pertinent to mention here that the MCC-Appraisement (West) has already responded upon the audit paras sent by the CRRA to the collectorate and already recovered Rs80million in the first three months of the year2015 while audit paras of Rs65million approximately are to be settled.

The Collector MCC-Appraisement (West) Muhammad Saleem has already stated that the Collectorate will issue demand notices against the defaulters in order to recover the government revenue.
