ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has said that due to prudent economic policies, reforms and economic stabilisation, achieved after three years of efforts, Pakistan has been declared as an emerging market by US based index provider Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), which is another achievement of the present government.
While talking to media, the minister said Pakistan had now achieved a status in the international market, and hoped that as a result of this success, the international investors would invest in various sectors of Pakistan for the socio-economic development of the country.
The minister informed that globally there were $1.7 trillion funds for investments, and if Pakistan succeeded in attracting even one percent of these funds, it would be a big foreign investment for the country. He called upon all political parties to join hands with the government for further enhancing sustainable economic growth of the country.
