PESHAWAR: The authorities have decided to keep the Pak-Afghan border at Kharlachi point in Kurram Agency closed during Muharram-ul-Haram to avoid any untoward incident, officials said.
Political Muharrar Zahid Younis told Customs Today that the local administration also imposed a ban on the pillion riding. Besides, curfew would be clamped on the Tall-Parachinar road on 9th and 10th Muharram.
Stringent security measures would be taken to provide foolproof security to the processions. The administration is also considering suspending mobile phone service on 8th, 9th and 10th Muharram.
